I nostalgically love the graphic tacky-ness 3d game studio auto generates. However i would like to avoid that by working with a lot of darkness

A force more powerfull

could be much better if
• The first person feeling was enhanced.
Right now there is no feeling for who you are. I enjoy being the puppeteer.
• Dialogue based information, mixed with film clips.
If I order this old lady to start a blockade against the military base i want to see what that looks like. Not read about it in the news papers.

Let's say you walked around in (where ever you moght be) and had to meet these persons (instead of looking at them in a book). Just walking might not sound so fun, but of some reason I appreciate games where you also have to do a bit of boring things like, searching, walking, eating, sitting etc.

Sam and Max hit the road

yet another brilliant Lucas arts game. The player "controls" Sam and max in movie like, very ironic and brutal senarios. Sam is the good (dog) cop and max is the blood thirsty rabbit. The absurd road trip forces you to strangle whiskey soaked kittens, blow up pappier maché dinosaurs etc. Pretty much like a absurd gangster version of quest for glory (and with the hyper user friendly interface of DOT or Indiana Jones - Faith of atlantis) among the gratest games ever made.
here is the intro

Or a quite odd plauthrough sequence:

The silly nonsense just goes on and on, after making contacts with the aliens you have to rescue the sasquatches and so on... lol

Download file

The free to download text-in-pop-up-window-based game is so minimalistic it makes "where in the world is carmen sandiego" look like a visual adventure.
The goal is to sell drugs in new york during a month. Ironically you can make a lot of money, but you can't really win.

Double Moral

http://www.grenier-du-mac.net/copiecran/d_f/DubbelMoral.jpg

The "Dubbelmoral" was a classic arcady game created by Swedish college students.
You are a student with a setup of different rpg-game similar parameters (but in this case drunkenness, wounds etc).
What makes this game funny is that you can either sit at home getting saint-points ocr go out and get drunk and get devil-points.
The game could go on forever and very addictive.
If you don't pee in time (or at the right place) your bladder will explode... or perhaps you will urinate on the head master.
every now and then your mother will look if you are doing your home work, if not she is sure to come out after you, shooting evil meatballs at you. If you get to drunk you risk to puke on some important professor.
There are 3 different levels in separate windows, when you move between these you jump between the windows... that felt incredibly cool on a macintosh LC.

Since the game only worked for mac, and all the characters are icon-sized i presume that the game is a hypercard stack.
looking at "the making of myst" (how ever nerdy that might sound) i realize that Myst was a hypercard programming to... hrm.. anyway...

I enjoy the similarity between this type of icon-animatited (typically mac'ish?) games and the low-bit arcades we all cherish so much.
