I designed the character for Onimusha 3.

The story's go back and forwar between modern day in France and history period in Japan where Nobunaga (japanese emperor) rules Japan.

There are 2 character that player could play. The player could teleport through time to play another character.

I think it will be even more interesting if they could also teleport to the future. So I am designing the robot like samurai to be another character. I the character to be simplicity with not much texture to give high contrast to the background.

It is a game design for kids to social interact with another online. You move around fromone space to another like enter the chatroom. It also have sub-games such as "ice fishing", which you play by yourself and "find four", which you could play with other player.

It is a simple game and easy to understand as it design for kid to play. You could earn coins buy playing sub-games and buy your own custume just like warcraft but much more cute.

Town

I have played final fantasy since final fantasy IV. Recently I have played final fantasy XII, which is real time combat. What i like about final fantasy is the artistic of character design and great 3d rendering. The story is well written, but most of the theme is about love, passion and war. There are also side game such as hunt, which player would look for the comissioner to kill monster and earn reward. Beside the strong fantasy storyline there is small task, which you could choose to do it or not.

Final fantasy 12 is different from other final fantasy, but similar to final fantasy 11 (online) in a way it have real time combat.

Gameplay and Gambit system

"Final fantasy gameplay features include the Active Dimension Battle system enabling players to move seamlessly between exploration and combat. Characters act according to an intricate "gambit" system of actions and reactions that you determine. As they fight, characters earn license points that can be spent to broaden their knowledge of magic, arms and armor."

http://ps2.ign.com/objects/488/488222.html

What I like about final fantasy the most is their artwork and architectural design. It is fantasy but it base upon some construction factor. Beside cool architecture, there always cool skyship.

So I am taking a look at the design of it. Some are functional and design for a specific games.

Some controller, they just play with the size of it either huge or tiny. I don't know what is the point of it.

The stage is base on the castle in Osaka, Japan. I use 3d program celled "vectorworks".

As interior design major, most of my works is base on interior and not so much exterior I ever done so far. This is the first time I try to construct an exterior with complicate form. Since I came to CCA, my design base on minimal and clean approach. So in this project I want to try to construct 3d using traditional structure as a model.

The render is not properly well finish with vectorworks's render function. Fot the limit time I have, instead of using vectorworks to render all part, I use photoshop to map some part that wasn't render properly.

The problem I found is: If I want to render it to be more realistic, it would took me longer time to render and my com spec. probably need to be higher so it run faster.

"PeaceMaker is a game about relations. Eight different actors are simulated and interact with the player based on conditional mood. The art piece that connect the video games lead to people experience of playing in video games. It also tell artist perspective of each individual game, that he or she tried to represent. In this particular show, I have seen much of the work that relate to Mario since it was all time favourite game for many people and enjoyable for all ages. It is interesting to see different artist represent their favourite game in different medium and context.

I have been looking through Yerba Buena Center Game exhibition in 2003 and come across this game which called "Waco Resurrection". I was familiar with the event as I came to the United States at the first time as an exchange student at Robinson school in Waco during 1993 and I had seen the event from the distances. I am not actually remember the details of the event though, but I remember that it was pretty stressful situation for people who live around there with the sirens and holicopters flying around.

About the game:
"It is the first chapter of Endgames, a 3D multiplayer computer game series which incorporates elements of subjective documentary and speculative fiction with interactive technologies to create a visceral gaming experience focused on extreme psycho-social phenomena.
gamers enter the mind and form of a resurrected cult's leader David Koresh through headgear, a voice-activated, 3D skin. They are Koresh who must defend the Branch Davidian sect against intrigue, skeptical civilians, rival Koresh and government agents.
Players are bombarded with a soundstream of government “psy-ops”, FBI negotiators, the voice of God and the clamor of battle. Players voice messianic texts, wield weapons from the Mount Carmel cache and influence the behavior of both followers and opponents by radiating a charismatic aura."

David Koresh, who is he?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Koresh

I think the game is pretty amazing how they come up with the interactive equipment such as head gear and a voice activated to present an extreme psyco state of mind of David Koresh. Waco is a primal scene of American fear, the apocalyptic visionary.
I am wondering who would want to enter the twist world of psyco's mind and learn what he had to go through. The stressful situation of a cult leader fight back the government, which I found a bit scary but funny that the player is assume the role of a resurrected cult leader instead of government.
Anyway since this game is an interactive with psycological state of mind to deal with the opposite side, I was wondering what would effect a person who had been playing the game? I wish I could play and tell.

http://www.gametab.com/news/692227/

I found this game is interesting after we learnt about american army and discuss about the gameplay and how realistic it could be for the game to immitate the real war.
What I found interesting in this gameplay is this game make the crowd react depending on your move, so the move you make have consequence. I think it opposite side of America Army in the sense of justice.

It is the game made by "Ubisoft" company, the develper of "Prince of Persia" It will release both xbox 360 and PS3 by early 2007. The story tells about 3rd Crusade. Architecture and cites plan base upon developer research and actual people name that died during the Crusad, but the story twist from the historical event with assassination events that never prove to be happened in this history period. The architecture and environment render is much better with new technology of game console being develpe. The develper said the scene and architectural are exactly in the history. I am wonder whether how accurate they are.

In the website there is a part that called Real Heroes. Those who are in the army fighting enemies for the sake of freedom of the USA. It seem to me that in the time of war with terrorist,it is a tool to encourage and support their countrymen soldier. I didn't see it as a wrong tool to support and encourage people to see some sense of the reality of war stradegy. But what is bother me a bit is the way they advertise it to be exiciting. The excitement could be aword to describe a game, but it never have that kind of emotion in the real war.

I think, there are no glorious in the real war. There are not a true judge whether which side are bad,or good. I think, the game can be mislead the real meaning of war in a morality sense, even though it provide accuracy information such as geographical based on real locations and weapon could fire the certain amount of rounds before reloading, etc. Although how close the tactic and stimulate of the game imitate the real war, it never have the real feel and sense of emotion in the real war. It didn't do the justice of the way you deal with certain citizen of the "enemies", understanding the situation and people in which war games could never stimulate those real facts.

Military can show people what they have to offer. The games and website encourage people to join the army. It is also help them to judge whether they want to join the army.

I had played God of War 1. It was an advanture game which enable player to move in 3dimensional space. The point of view show in different angles, depends on stages. Some scene is the above view looking toward the character with clift background. The story is base upon fantasy of Greek Mythology of God and Goddess. The story base upon the character life. It start from the end of the story of a Spartan bloke named Kratos. The game's opening cinema shows Kratos hurling himself down a mountain because the gods of Olympus. Then the story sequence move back and forward showing flashback memories of the character; Kratos.
