Is this> "quotation mark"< Art?

Common place art (ready made, life patterned performance etc.) is only truly constructive when it repeatedly appropriates segments of BOTH the transitory normal 1. and the cultural reflex of normal 2. Thus its existence should provoke a modality of awareness= self critic= deeper awareness by which the artist and viewer's contextual experiences of art are juxtaposed with life (living). Of course any critic of this will provide a paradoxical intrinsically to this logic as art converges with life. I would ask however if this judgment is inadvertently framed by the conviction of singular artistic Genius.

Andy Cox:

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the "cultural reflex of normal".

Are these your views, or a summary of the McLuhan chapter? Or both?

Your writing is interesting in style but could be a little more lucid.
