In response to Allen Kaprow, Art which can't be art is truly quite the example that thing in our lives are usually taken for granted. It is the thought that things that we do in our every day lives, especially that are quite routine as art is quite inventive. I do feel that this art would only be for the few and not the many. It would hit those who would see through the proper perspective. I do agree that it grabs my attention because it is things that I or many others take for granted. These are the little things that that make up the quality of our lives. Especially, today we as consumers are always looking for products to make our lives much more easier. The movie Click with Adam Sandler reminds me and would be an example of things taken for granted. It is because of our needs to simplify life and make things easier, or to save time is sadly the cost of losing some of the important details that make up life.
I do see and find a fascination to the details of what is found as routine.

I like your theme mod!
I like that you pointed to consumerism as the thing that creates meaning for most people (that's consumerism including the massive network of advertising and ideological media that goes with it), rather than looking for meaning in day to day life. [On second reading, perhaps you weren't saying that exactly, but that's what it made me think.] We have been alienated from our own lives?
