They are mass media as they are a way of interpersonal communication. They are a translator of experience and extensions of our social selves. They mimic our situation that we face in our own routine work. Games are an imitation of accomplish situation.

I also think games are a way of people getting out from their routine stress, release of particular tension and therefore people try to have fun. It is a psychological way of our mind of getting out of routine and also adjusting our social reaction. I think games make people aware of controlling the situation and accomplish them.
