Being cool means you don’t have to care about situations as much as previously expected in society. Christianity is not something that being cool is associated with because coolness is not tightly structured. There is not sacrifice for being cool. The workplace can be a participating part in being cool. They can provide café equipment and the employees can dress in style. Cool is about self-satisfaction and pleasure. If you feel upset, go shopping and feel better. What is cool is always changing. Instead of being a small group of youth, the majority of youth are caring about what is cool. Things are intense and no one wants to be ordinary because being a rebel is what is cool. Fashion designers have confessed to stealing design ideas from youth in other countries that are trying to rebel against the fashion. Instead of being able to rebel in peace, soon the designs they created are being manufactured to become a trend. No one will ever be able to be his or her unique design. Nothing is unique anymore. Has fashion ever been completely unique? Or is it just stolen from someone else and made to look unique? I think that nothing in fashion is unique anymore. Being cool is a recreation from the past that has been brought back and tweaked to fit our contemporary society. Basically, being cool is conforming to capitalism but you are fooled into thinking you are secretly rebelling.

I am planning on making fun of fashion poses. It's more of high fashion, that i will be focusing on. I will take my own pictures in black and white and copy a fashion label to paste onto it.

Detournement is taking something old and making something contemporary. An old and traditional piece of artwork is transformed to something that doesn't represent the original object. The goal of the transformation is to make new expressions through art. The traditional art styles of expression is meaningless and forgotten. The detournement movement is not really dealing with reality. It is about propaganda and editing the tradition of art to portray a message to culture. I feel like detournement is devaluing the original piece to make a statement about the artwork.

I loved this excercise because it is good for me to be in the sun and enjoying nature. It didn't take long for me to feel the connection with Mother Earth.

I was feeling anxious to find a spot to sit.
I felt relieved when I found somewhere to put my blanket.
I was excited to rest.
When I saw my friend, I wanted to cry and laugh at the same time.
I am very lonely in the city sometimes.
It was nice to see a friendly face.
I was kind of sad to open my eyes.
